  • Location: Lakhimpur Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh, India; Terai region of the Himalayan foothills; near the border with Nepal.
  • Reserved Forest: 775 km² area between Mohana and Suheli rivers declared reserved forest in 1861.
  • Wildlife Sanctuary: Declared in 1965 to protect swamp deer (barasingha).
