There are 3 national park in Telangana.

Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park

  • Location: Jubilee Hills area, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
  • Alternate Name: Also known as KBR National Park.
  • Name Origin: Named after Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (1964–1971).
  • National Park: Established in 1994; officially designated by the Government of India in 1998.
  • Area: ~1.58 sq.km (390 acres).
  • Hills: Jubilee Hills.
  • River: No river flows through the park; located near Musi River.
  • Flora: ~600 species of plants, insectivorous plants (Drosera flycatcher plant).
  • Animals: Spotted Deer, Indian Hare, Indian Palm Squirrel, Pangolin, Small Indian Civet.

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park

  • Location: Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
  • Name Origin: Named after Mahavir, the 24th Jain Tirthankara; “Harina” refers to deer in Sanskrit.
  • Wildlife Sanctuary: Declared in 1975 by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • National Park: Upgraded to national park status in 1994.
  • Area: ~14.59 sq.km (5.633 sq miles).
  • Flora: Sandalwood, Rosewood, Palas, Amalthas, Teak,.
  • Animals: Blackbucks, Porcupines, Indian Hare, Wild Boar.

Mrugavani National Park

  • Location: Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, India.
  • National Park: Established in 1994.
  • Area: ~3.6 sq.km (1.4 sq miles) / 1,211 acres.
  • Flora: Teak, Neem, Sandalwood, Banyan, Tamarind.
  • Animals: Spotted Deer, Sambar, Indian Hare, Wild Boar.
